Default Emissions Failure

I recently bought a used 2006 Sebring and it has 22,000 miles and it failed the emissions test. The guy at the emissions office said that not all of the sensors were responding and it probably just needs to be driven some more to reset the sensors. Has anyone heard of such a crazy thing? Seems almost impossible that a car that new would fail the emmissions. Any thoughts?

Default RE: Emissions Failure

depends on where and y u got it used. Could be a repo,or had so many issues thats why they got rid of it.
Take it to the dealer and have them look at it but be prepared it might not be under warranty if something has been messed with or in an accident.
