Hi there! Recently my folding top header latch on my Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible has gone out. Now, the part numbe is 68028392AA but the part seems to be discontinued and I can't get it anywhere. Does anyone know why it was discontinued or when the remade version of it will come out?

 

You didn't specify the year of your car. Auto manufacturers maintain a repair parts inventory for ten years. That can get extended if the part is a carryover part for several model years. Your best bet is to shop around for the part at "auto re-cyclers", aka junkyards. Also, look on line for old parts. If you happen to find somebody on eBay who is parting out a similar model, he will probably be glad to sell you that part.
For your information, the part number is not useful for most purposes. Be sure to describe it by car make, model and year as well as location (left vs right).
Once the manufacturer discontinues a part, it doesn't come out with a "remade version". Some parts become available in the aftermarket if there's a reasonable demand.
