Default Fuse 23

Hi all, first post. 12 Chrysler 200 2.4, keeps blowing asd fuse 23. Had a friend look up the schematics on Mitchell and if I’m reading it right fuse 23 is most closely related to the coils? Everything gets blurry in the TIPMS. I can drive it for a bit and then fuse 23 blows. Sometimes days sometime weeks and sometimes hours. Any one have a clue of where to start? I was originally thinking fuel pump may have been pulling too many amps and blowing the fuse but then the schematic pointed me to the spark.

I don't have any experience with this particular issue... but when electrical crap starts going wrong, I always start with the grounding straps/cables. A loose ground is a gremlin that can cause a lot of other problems.

Looks like it is supposed to be a light blue 15 Amp fuse that goes to the Auto Shutdown (ASD) Relay 3...

ASD relay stuffs

Hope that helps, it is all I could really find.

Thanks man, that was extremely insightful. In the 200 the relay is built into the tipm and as far as I can tell not actually serviceable. Think you are spot on with the grounds. Thanks again

Faulty or loose grounds do not cause a short to blow a fuse. a Blown fuse is caused by an item that has power going to is to instantly go to ground with out going through the seid item first like a lite bulb switch motor . The fuse is there to protect the system from a short to ground and would cause a fire , melt wires and take out modules. If the fuse only blows after certain times like driving for a little bit or hitting a bump something to change what the currant status is thats what and where you would look for it. A harness sitting on metal rubbing away at the coverings. Also could be something getting to hot and the resistance is to high aka coil , motor something like that. SO first need to track down WHEN it happen then you can see what is the likely cause from that.
