hazard flashers

Default hazard flashers

My hazard flasher work with the ignition on but not when switched off. Any ideas ?

That's a real head scratcher. When you say "with the ignition on" do you mean with the engine running? If so, maybe it's a weak battery that can only drive the system when the generator is putting out current. If it's not with the engine running then that can't be the answer. The flasher and the turn signal are both controlled by the same device, which is plugged into the multifunction switch. You would expect that the turn signal would exhibit similar behavior.

Thanks for answering.
Further checking the multifunction switch has power going to both the switched + and battery + inputs, so I'm going to swop over the switch with my other car tomorrow and see.

swopped over switch and its definitely the problem.
