hey air intake question

Default hey air intake question

hey im new to this forum but i have a question or 2. i just bought a 01 sebring lxi with hte 2.7 l engine nad i dnat find an intake (hai or cai) anywhere. i found a bunch for the 3.0 engines. maybe someone knows if an intake from another sebring /stratus/ avenger/eclipse could fit it. thanks al

Ummmm,.... like the whole intake itself? You can get them out of another sebring or stratus or whatever... Even go to an autozone and get one of those aluminum pipes and a new filter... that works fine. You may need a piece of rubber hose and an adapter so that emissions thing doesn't blow oil all over the engine bay... Go to a junk yard and steal one, or just talk them way down... just strap a performance filter to the throttle body... you don't NEED the intake for it to run, but it's a very good idea... let me know if you have any other questions...

is there any chance that you could take a picture of your engine bay, or find me a pciture of your engine bay, and i could tell you if an intake, say, from my RT woudl fit your car? or tell me where the factory intake box is...and the TB.
