Unhappy Intermitten PO344(Cam Position Sensor)

Hi all: I just registered because my daughter has a 2005 Chrysler Sebring 2.4 with about 110K miles. She has had this problem before and the cam position sensor was replaced about a month ago and it had been running ok for about 2 weeks. Now the DTC PO344 comes on for about a week and then clears itself for another week and then decides to come back. The cam position sensor had been replaced in early August before this last replacement. When the code is on the car spits and sputters. Because the code is not consistent I do not believe it is a bad CPS. I have been told that there is a TSB 18-015-09 which refers to this intermitten PO344. Has anyone had this problem and has it been resolved? Does anyone have a copy of said TSB, would appreciate a copy.

Thanks,

that TSB is not for your car

Thanks for the response. Could you please be more specific as I do not know what you mean. Are you saying to check the voltage, if so on which wires and on what status of the engine operation. Really appreciate the help!

Thanks for the prompt response. I did not know if the test was to be done with the cps connected or disconnected. So I disconnected it and I get nothing at the connector with the key on engine not running. How is the test suppose to be done?

Thanks for the response. I would love to be able to take it to a pro but my daughter can not afford it financially, she's unemployed and has been for 4 months. I have a Haynes Manual # 25040 but it does not contain electrical schematics for the engine or detailed instructions for such test. Any other help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

PM me your e-mail and i'll send you the test in PDF format. Make sure the wiring harness isn't rubbing the back corner of the cylider head on the driver's side.
