Default low gas mileage problem

i get 15 mpg in the city and 25mpg highway. i got a 2001 chrysler sebring 2.7L.it has 83,000 miles on it andjust got a tune up. so is this right because magazines and the internet say 20mpg is there something i missed or some other way to increased mileage. do you think the catalitic converter would help.

I have a 2001 LXI with the V6 and I get about 20-21 mpg everywhere. On the freeway its the same as in the city. I haven't been able to figure this out at all. I have driven 285 miles on the freeway on a single tank of gas then I've driven 285 miles in the city on a tank of gas. I think somethings not right. I'm not sure what it could be.....
