There's a thread on the forum someplace started by a guy who installed a cold air intake on his Sebring (newer generation than yours) by modifying a regular K&N type intake to fit his car. K&N advertises on this forum a lot, and they brag that if they can't improve an engine's performance, they won't make an intake for it. They don't make one for the Sebring. Draw your own conclusion there.
Anyway, if you look carefully at your air filter housing (pull it out), you'll see that it is designed to take air from outside the engine compartment. Most of the K&N style intakes actually pull air from inside the engine compartment, right behind the radiator. Why this is supposed to be "cool" air and an improvement over the stock intake I'll never know.
