Default Motor idle higher

This is the problem.
Motor runs very well, but sometimes when I floor it for a short time and break hard the idle stays high and break has to be applied to keep it at stop. Basically vehicle wants to run. Also I hear a metallic hissing sound coming from under the hood as I let go of accelerator. Need to point out that EGR was changed and aftermarket stainless air intake was installed.
Any one any idea?

Thanks,

Check for a vacuum leak. Take a length of tubing and hold one end near your ear and move the other end near all the vacuum hoses and fittings on the engine. When you hear the hiss, you've found the leak.
