Default Not sure what is wrong with my car!! Please help

I just recently purchased a 2004 Sebring. As I was driving into work today I heard this loud noise coming from my rear passenger tire. I stopped and looked but couldn't see anything. I had a few co workers look at it and when the made the car bounce (by pushing the trunk up and down) it would make that noise. I was told that it could be either the bushings, or the shocks. How do I know? Can someone please help me?

Depending on the kind of noise, it could also be the ball joints. Any chance you could describe the particulars of this noise?

It sounds like a rubbing, grinding noise. It does it while driving, but its really bad when the car goes over a bump of any sort. I don't want to spend more then the cars worth on fixing it. Like I mentioned before, I just bought it 3 days ago. I really appreciate you trying to help me!!

Still seems like a ball-joint. Few hundred dollars to replace left and right. Probably about the same if it's the shocks.
