P1daf
I had an issue the other day with my 2015 Chrysler 200. I went to start it and the dashboard lights flickered a few times without starting. I tried it again and the flickering occurred again, but it started the second time. The engine MIL was on, but the vehicle drove perfectly normal. I pulled the code, which came out to P1DAF. I can't find anything online regarding said code. The next day, I attempted to start the vehicle again, but this time it would not start at all. I called for a tow truck, and when he got there he jumped the car and it started up perfectly fine; he suggested I get the battery tested, which I did and it tested bad. So I replaced the battery and was told the MIL would go off after about 50 miles of driving. Here we are, 2 days later and well past 50 miles driven, and the light is still on. Any ideas/hints/tips???
A weak battery can cause the computer to do very strange things. Try pulling the codes again to see what shows up. If it's a real code this time, deal with whatever is causing that code. If you get a nonsense code again, use the code reader to clear the code and see what happens.
