Patching rocker panel (mig Welding)

Default Patching rocker panel (mig Welding)
Found Rocker panels below rear doors are rusted really bad. Have a little experience in body work. Going to patch holes with metal and going to weld them in with Mig Welder. Going to unhook both battery cables before welding. Will this keep from hurting any computer components on car?
