Default Resonator 2006 Sebring conv 4cyl

I have a hole in the resonator of this 78k car. The rest of the exhaust system is fine. I have thinking about replacing the resonator with a straight pipe. Is this a good idea or will I effect performance and/or make the exhaust to loud?

Probably won't affect performance much. Whether it's "too loud" is up to you and your local police department.
