Rough Running P0344 But Did I Fix?
Worried that the simple Camshaft Position Sensor could be trying to tell me something.
Replaced before. Unfortunately with a cheap AutoZone part because that's was basically all that was nearby to get it running. Looks like I might have cracked it over tightening. Which I discovered when problem AND code returned.
Purchased NAPA Echlin part this time and after cleaning mounting surface gently snugged the part on good evenly.
Also notice the near perfect 7 & 7 grease looking pattern on the camshaft end. DID NOT wipe clean.
After replacing took the car for ~ 10 mile run with no real noticeable issues.
Is this common or am I just postponing another issue?

Thanks in advance.

FIXED.
Final repairs made were:
New Factory Cam Position Sensor
New Factory Crank Position Sensor
New CHAMPION Spark Plugs ( had been AutoLite plugs )
New AutoLite Professional Spark Plug wires.
Relearn proceedure for PCM
Maybe this will help someone else.
Next up. Complete timing belt replacement.
The plan.... ALL factory parts.
