Default Sebring convertible 2002 lock actuator - microswitch?

Open the driver's door and the driver's door light is off. Open the passenger door, the light also shines on the driver's side. Is there a microswitch in the lock? I'm afraid to disassemble. If the video or photo is disassembled please link. What is the replacement for this lock? Mopar says the original 4878833AC but can not be purchased. help, What is the replacement for this lock? Before you replace the lock, check the wiring going into the door. The driver's side door gets a lot more use than the passenger side and the flexing of the wire on that side sometimes results in breaking of wires in the harness where it goes between the door and the door frame.

Auto manufacturers sell replacement parts for 10 years after the car is built, sometimes longer if the part gets carried over for a few more model years. After 18 or 19 years you won't have any luck getting a part from the manufacturer. Some aftermarket manufacturers might sell parts for your vehicle. Some switches or electrical parts may be available. Check with sellers like auto parts stores or Rock Auto (rockauto.com). Otherwise, you'll probably have to search the junkyards and/or eBay.
