Shuts off while driving!
I have replace the distributor, fuel filter, timing belt and tensioner, battery and alternator . The car still shuts off while driving. I have read several post saying to check the ASD. Has anyone else had this problem? I love the car it drives awesome but I'm getting tired of chasing this issue.

It might help a little if you provided a few details about your car, like what year, model and engine. We're not very good at mind reading. Make sure you include the codes from your reading of the computer.

I have not yet hooked it up to a diagnostic tool yet. i drove it to and from work and it shutdown once i felt something just before it turned off but im not sure what it was. i got out and pull the tcm relay and the fuel pump relay . it started right back up after i put them back and made it home. still confused about what it might be.

your not going to get much as far as codes because u disconnected the battery to replace the alternator so u get to drive it around for about a week until the PCM can relearn the adaptive numerator and then some codes will come up.
Why would u replace the alternator any way? A timing belt wont cause it to keep shutting off nor will a fuel filter and battery. U replaced the whole distributor assembly not just the cap and rotor right?

The timing belt stretched so i changed that and the tensioner. i changed the whole distributor because it has the ignition coil and cam sensor built in and i figured since it had never been done before i would pay one price for the whole thing rather than replace one thing and have one of the other components inside go bad. The altenator was changed 6 months ago so there should be codes.
