Default Tranny

I changed the tranny fluid and filter (not a system flush) on my 2004 Sebring 2.7L Touring and now it jerks occasionally when accelerating and sometimes when shifting from park to dirve. Any ideas on the cause of this problem?

Was this the first time you changed the fluid?

Did you clean the magnet in the bottom of the pan and put it back where it was?

Try disconnecting the battery to reset the computer. That should initiate the learning cycle which may smooth out the shifts after a couple of days. If the rough shifts continue, you may need to take it in to see if any error codes are being thrown. Not just any code reader will be able to get to the transmission codes.

It could be TCM issues.
