Transmission bolts

What is the size/thread pitch of the transmission pan bolts for a 2002 Chrysler Sebring 4 dr., 2.7, auto trans. I am changing fluid & filter for my neice and would like to make some line-up dowels (gasket alignment)beforehand. Also, does anyone know the recommended aftermarket ATF type (e.g. Dexron) and capacity (she doesn't have the owner's manual). Thanks for your help, Dave

use RTV not a gasket and use ATF +4 only

Thank you. I would still like to use a few line-up dowels so I don't smear the silicon to badly when aligning the pan. Any idea what size? Dave

I have been doing it for years u dont need line up pins if u get chrysler RTV it will seal up in just a few seconds. If u start monkeying around with stuff like that be preparied to fix what ever u mess up.

I use the gasket, but I shove 4 bolts through the corners to hold the gasket in place and hold it up and put in one corner bolt at a time and everything works out great, even laying on your back underneath.
ATF+4 is a must. Valvoline make this in a synthetic for a decent price. Tranny shifts much better... no surprises.
