Default Transmission Control Module

Hello, I have a 2001 Sebring Convertible with a 2.7. I recently had a remote starter put in the car. within a week the Transmission Control Computer went out. I had a qualified mechanic put it in. Question is, before I put the new computer in, is it possible that the remote starter messed the trans. comp. up? Appreciate any help

My nephew is a mechanic and checked the codes several times, I think he said 650 and maybe 700 codes. The car goes into gear very hard and then stays in what I think is 2nd gear. He cleared the code several times and it kept coming back

I'm not sure what the code was. I put the module in and it shifts fine.
