Default Used ESL/ELV P0513 Problem

Hi@All,

Car is a Sebring 2008 2.7L conv.

ist it possible to use a used ESL Modul?

And if, what needs to be done... Just connect it and everthing is fine?
Are there any programing things to do?
Or is just an new one working?

Greets from Germany

This is typically a key related issue and not a module issue. Has the module been replaced?

Any replacement module needs to be reprogrammed with the VIN of the vehicle so it will communicate with the PCM. This not a plug-and-play module and requires a high end diagnostic tool for programming.

What is happening when you insert the key? When you insert the key and turn to on, does the red security go out after the lamp check or does it remain on? If the key is not recognized, the engine will start and run for a few seconds and quite. If this is attempted 3-5 times with the unrecognized key, it will disable and not allow any further attempts to start the car.

Hi,

thanks for the reply...

High End means Star Scan or is App-Car-Diag enough?
The Red Light remain on!

little more Detail on that:
I allready bought a used replacement PCM from an US Dealer in Napa with "immo off" Option programed.(Skim is not connected)
But if this is in the Car an cant even open the Doors with remote key an the red light remain on, no crank.
Beside the PCM i bought an ESL Emulator wich is connected.

With the Original PCM and the ESL Emulator and the SKIM connected, red light goes out but no crank either.

Thats why im asking if it is necessary to by a original new one wich cost in Germany about 700 bucks or is ist possible to make it with a used one.

Maybe im searching from the wrong Side an there is something totally different broken???
Than please guide me to the wrong way.

Greets Ralf
