ventilation on full throttle

maybe i haven't been looking very good but i could not find a thread about the following subject: when i turn on the ventilation system in my 2004 sebring convertible it only works in position 4 and not in any other position. I guess that one of even more resistors will have to be replaced. My question is : where van I locate/find the resistor that controls the vent-speed?

The part is widely available. You may need to open up the slot it fits into a little bit with a file.

I found a very usefull video on youtube (how to replace the circuitboard) and I managed to get the part out. I noticed that some of the black paint on the circuitboard was damaged (on the corner of the board) and i scraped off the paint. Now I could see what was wrong with it. The PCB trace was badly damaged and aprox. 2 mm was gone/eroded/corroded(design failure?). I removed some more paint and repaired the PCB trace by soldering a pice of copper on the 2mm gap. I tested the board in the car and YES the blower works properly! Now the board is my workshop where i am applying nailpolish on the places where i removed the original paint to prevent the fresh solder to oxidyze. Tomorrow i will put it back in the car and smile! A 1 dollar repair (when you have a soldering iron).

I have made some picture of it . How can I upload them?

The best way to upload pictures of a project like yours is to create an album and put the pictures in it with captions that describe what you're doing. Give the album a good name that will describe the project so that people can find it.

They don't let you upload pictures right away on this site. The Admins want to make sure you're not a spammer before they let you upload pictures. I have no idea what goes into that decision.

Update: i removed the nailpolish because it isnt heatproof! I used several layers of Motip high Temp black paint 800 Celsius resistant instead. That looks nice and works fine. Build in the board what is easy to do when you put your right arm on the dashboard so one can hang on it. I used a halogen desklamp for lighting the job and then it was a peace of cake to reinstall the board. case closed i gess.
