Default What is this lens for?

2013 Chrysler 200 Convertible. There's a lens that points down at the accesory tray just below the usb port and 12v dc ports. You can see it with a mirror. Anyone else have this and/or know what it's function is?

Im hokding a small mirror to look up at panel directly above the accesory tray.

I don't know specifically, but I would suspect it's a light. You don't have a dome light overhead in a convertible so you need light from somewhere. My convertible has lights on the bottom of the rearview mirror that shine down (weakly) into the passenger compartment in place of the dome light. After 7 years yours could be burned out. Even LED's can fail.
