hey guys new member!! glad to meet some other 300m fans!!

my wife and i had a 99 300m years back got rid of it but always missed it.. couple months ago came across a facebook ad, $500 1999 300m, wont start.. i picked it up for $400 out of optimism.. took the car to my mechanic, he said timing belt tensioner went out and ****ed the engine.. after looking at the car more in depth, interior is shot, some body dings..

the car is still in my garage, i found a 2002 300m, bad transmission listed on craigslist, he's down to $300.. pearl white, black leather interior.. much better condition then then mine.. driver side door has a dent but i can swap them.

my question.. is the transmission in my 99 compatible to swap into the place of the 02 trans?? i know the engines we changed 01 to 02..

 

Trans swap is a bolt in. Only thing that is different is the 02-04 "Special" that has a different final drive gear ratio. (That can be easily swapped also)
Engine swap can also be done with a few key items swapped also.
