2012 300 recall notice-alternator diode issue?
just got a recall notice in the mail about needing to replace a defective alternator.
had any else gotten this for their model?scheduled to get it fixed next week and will update the group.

Get it fixed when you can. I heard about this but had my car fixed before I got the notice. Just received my notice this week.
Car with go into low battery mode, rear defroster won't work, radio will shut off etc.. Can cut off on you while driving. Thankfully I only had symptoms 1-2 days but the worst case scenario is a fire. Look it up. Alt drains your battery instead of recharging like normal.

I was notified to contact my dealer a few weeks back re this alternator recall. The dealer said to bring it in for an inspection to see if the recall really did apply to my car. It did and they ordered the parts in and caledl me a week later and I had it done yesterday.
