Default 300 base motor upgrade

I believe I have a blown 2.7l in my base model 300 (2006), am I able to upgrade the motor to the 3.5 or 5.7?

Long story short; it's not worth the time, cash and effort.

I have a little bit of time, care to elaborate a little? I'm guessing the suspension will need to be beefed up and then transmission upgrades as well?

Think in terms of wiring harness and connectors and ICUs that don't match up. It could be a nightmare. And by the time you get to the point where you discover it can't be done you are well past the point of being able to get back to where you started.

That being said, is it certain year model 2.7L engines or all of them that seem have problems?

By 2004, the gremlins had been worked out. I put 240,000 miles on an '04 Sebring and have 135,000 miles on an '06 Sebring.
