300 Touring Electrical Gremlins
 

I just acquired a 2010 Chrysler 300 Touring Signature Series for $2500 and the only thing major that is wrong with it is in the electrical system. None of this keeps me from driving it, but they are a bit annoying......

1. Hazard Lights - Do not work. Signal lights work fine.
2. Stereo - stuck in a boot loop. Ruled out bad hard drive.
3. Auto Windows - This issue is intermittent. Sometimes the auto windows on the driver and passenger windows work both up and down. Sometimes the auto only works going down, sometimes just the driver's side works, but not the passenger.....
4. Climate Control lights/bulbs - These bulbs did not light up when I bought the car 2 weeks ago, but some of them decided to start working a few days ago. I think there are 5 total bulbs. Right not it looks like only 2 or 3 started working.
5. Rear Driver's Side Door - Intermittent issue with the door not unlocking.
6. Push Button and Remote Start - Neither of these work.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on any of these issues. The hazard light issue is at the top of the list, because I need to get this inspected. The stereo is the 2nd priority. The other 3 issues aren't priorities at all. I'll post updates as I figure stuff out.

Sound to me like a "generalized" electrical problem, Try this. Disconnect both battery terminals and hold them together for 10 seconds. Reconnect and see if any of the issues are cured. Take the car to AutoZone or the like and have them run a free battery load check.

First, is the check engine light on?
If yes, get a scan.
After doing what the previous post suggests, check ground wire connections.
It sounds a lot like a bad ground connection issue.

That stuff is all controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) which is the instrument cluster. So you could have a cluster problem.


The EMIC (ElectroMechanical Instrument Cluster) also includes the hardware and software necessary to serve as the electronic body control module and is sometimes
referred to as the Cab Compartment Node or CCN.

I had problem number 5 in my dodge ram. It is notorious for breaking or pinching wires leading into the door through normal use. Check for any broken wires and to see if they have caused any fuses to blow.
