300C lifter replacement

Default 300C lifter replacement

I ordered a rear set of lifters for my 5.7l hemi after reassembly the #8 pushrod is 1/2" short of reaching the rocker arm the rocker shaft is completely seated checked the pushrod it is the correct pushrod for the exhaust side I can push by hand and the pushrod will sink farther then rebound this is on the brand new lifters I replaced any ideas or have I got to remove the head again if so anyone want a 300C

Could it be one of the new lifters has collapsed or has not been properly primed.?

it very well could be I'm not sure how you prime them though

You place them 1 at a time under oil and push down (compress) it with a spare push rod 5or 6 times. Be aware that cheep lifters have been known to be bad out of the box.
