Default 300C SRT8 Purchase

I am thinking about purchasing a 300C SRT8 in the morning. I just got back from inspecting it. I can pick it up for MSRP. It has 26 miles on the odometer which I thought was too high. I don't like purchasing a new car with more than 10 miles or less. I prefer ordering.

It's the only one in my area in stock out of 6 dealerships in a 60 mile radius. The other dealers do not have anymore allocations for the year or want a ridiculous 5-$10K "market adjustment" for the cars coming in and won't deal even with a cash sale.

It's not my prefered color Silver, Steel Metallic. I am going to sleep on it.

26 miles isn't too much in my opinion however if it isn't the right color, I wouldn't get it. Btw, nice choice on the Copperhead John. I love that Dodge put 5 spoke rims on it instead of the previous regular SRT-10 rims...

Thanks Matt,

I ended up purchasing the 300C SRT8 this morning. The color wasn't to bad once I viewed it in the sun. It was close to dusk when I looked at it yesterday. It only has about 90 miles on it now. I haven't unleashed it yet. I like to follow manufactures breakin proceedure on my new vehicles.

Below is a poor picture as the sun was in the wrong location. I did my own QD spray wipe down at the dealership. I brought my own products. I would not let them touch it once I arrived. The paint is in excellent condition. I will put a more complete exterior detail on it in the upcoming days. From the limited time I have spent in It I am very impressed.

Good thinking. I've heard of dealers using clay bars to get off dirt and such, but they end up scratching cars sometimes...which they deny. I'm impressed as well. Silver definatelly looks sharp. Did the side widows come stock tinted to that level?

For some reason I wasn't able to edit the pictures in my above post so I removed them.

The windows were already dealership tinted. 35% front (33% state law) 5% on all 3 rears. (state law ANY)

I usually do 35% on the front and 20% on the rears of my vehicles. 5% is to dark for me. It looks though.
Even with a backup sensor I still like to see a little at night.

$10,000 market mark up is standard right now because of the high demand

WOW! $10,000 over invoice or sticker?

Either way, IMO that's too much of a hit for that car. You'd have to want one pretty bad to do that.

Hey Copperhead,
I just looked at the picture of your new car (very nice by the way), and I noticed the tile floor under the car. Is that your garage, or is that the dealership floor? If it's yours, how do you like it?

I want to either paint or tile my garage, but the tile looks like it may be hard to keep clean, and could get pretty slick when wet.
