Question Headlight question - 2016 300

I got in a minor fender bender and part of the damage was that the left headlight assembly (driver's side) got ruined. The body shop replaced the entire assembly, but didn't touch the right side one (passenger's side).

Fast forward to yesterday when I drove it at night for the first time. It looked really strange, like the left headlight was different from the right. Not just mis-aimed, but like a different light (like the right light was spreading out "normally", while the left light stopped abruptly with a jagged line, and strange "reflective" things in the light.

Drove the car up to my garage door to adjust and it clearly is 2 different kinds of light. The new light looks like a straight line with rainbow-reflections on the door, while the old light looks more like a "regular old" headlight.

Called the body shop and they were confused...they're saying they replaced it with the OEM headlight assembly. I checked the headlight covers and the old cover says HB3...while the new cover says HIR2. Clearly they used a different light, but they're saying they got the ONLY light available from Mopar OEM. But how is that possible if it doesn't match my factory light?

So anyway, it's obvious to me that they got the wrong light. I'm wondering 2 things:

- Is it just the bulb they messed up on, or the entire assembly? The headlight cover itself actually says HB3 on the old one and HIR2 on the new one, as if it's saying that's the type of bulb this assembly requires. Will switching to an HB3 bulb into the new assembly match them up? Or is the assembly specifically built for HB3 or HIR2?

- If there's only one type of OEM headlight assembly (for halogens, I'm not including the HID in this), then why would one headlight cover call for HB3 and the other for HIR2?

Sorry for all the detail...but the body shop literally has no idea and they're going to start experimenting...and that scares me a little.

Thank you.
