Humming roar from the front
Hi guys,
I bought a 300m 2000 5-6 months ago. Now with 160,000kms
I need some help concerning this noise problem from the front. When I'm driving roughly over 50km/h, I can hear the noise, more like a "whoooooo". It kinda roars when the speed is increased further. I took it to my mechanic and he doesn't know what it is, he said maybe have to change tires or wheel bearings. This happened for two weeks already and it gets worse, more louder and more often. Today I found out another new information, if I'm going straight, I can hear the sound at moderate levels. If I turn the steering wheel to the right at the same speed (above 50km/h), the sound increases into more of a roar? Like if you close your mouth and hmmmmm really loud. And If i turn my steering wheel to the left, the sound lessens or dissapears. I'm sure it's not the engine because even without braking or throttle, I can still hear the sound, and the rpm has already dropped. Basically my car sounds like a ferrari lol. I'm worried that it will get worse and worse, maybe it's the tyres are grinding on something? I'm really not sure. I had my front brakes changed 2 weeks ago, due to grinding noises. The inner brake pads are completely gone, so I had to change both discs, and 4 shoe pads.
Please help. Thanks
I've already checked the rotor shields, and made more clearance on both front wheels but still the same problem.
