Default Oil pressure

My 300C kicks back when I hit a certain rpm when accelerating like getting on to the highway and my check engine light comes on and my oil pressure won’t go higher than 37psi. Then I cut it off and drive it a few times and the check engine light goes off and it drives like normal

You do have a stock oil pan and oil up to the mark?

I suspect oil is not draining back down into the oil pan resulting in the oil pump pick up being starved.
