Is there any way to get the base model radio to play the sound from the rear DVD player. There is a note in the intructions stating that you can't have the base radio if you want to hear the DVD over the car speakers. I completed the install and realized that my radio has both the plugs (the small and big plug) that come from therear DVD player. I tried but haven't be able to get the car radio to play the DVD player's sound. Does anyone know a work around? The wireless headphones work fine with the rear DVD player, by the way. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I am trying to install the wiring harness from the rear dvd into the car....
Where did you put your wires? I am speaking about the 10 wires that com from the dvd to the back of the stereo, or HOW did you get power to it and such?

if its a factory system then u shoulf have an instruction sheet for how to install if its after market i cant help u there.

 

Its a factory nav system. I only have part of the 10 pin connector. I just dont know what each color on it does, and where the can bus power wires are.

The 10 pin connector only has 9 wires in it too.... Whats the 10th wire that could go in there?
