Default Recall

I got a recall notice the PCM and TCM have to be reprogrammed. Seems the settings may not let the failsafe 2nd gear lockup damage prevention may not work when it should. My interpretation is the specs are set too high. Anyway going in tomorrow 1 hour job My car was built Nov 2011 and there are just over 10000 cars you may not get a notice. Wish me luck

What type of 2011 vehicle are you referring to? What type of media center w/ Gracenotes do you have?

The following site has the latest Gracenotes updates and instructions on how customers can update the MyGIG system straight from Harman Becker:

Sorry my car is a 2012 300 Limited with luxury package. It has the full screen with Nav. I am just trying to find out where it shows the software versions
That website is kinda out of date seems the software I have for Gracenotes that I got somewhere else for my RER system I had in my pickup. I wonder if that same gracenotes cd will work, doubtful.

My radio is made my Panasonic I believe but still uses Gracenotes to recognize cd's. Although I have not put a brand new cd in to see if it recognizes it or not, I do know all the music on my jump drive I play in there was all updated before I downloaded it so it shows up correctly on the screen. I am surprised there is no hard drive, but there must be one just for things like gracenotes and updates to the Nav system.

To Check the radio software version.
1. Press “Menu” button on the radio.
2. Press “System Setup” touch screen soft key.
3. Press “System Information” touch screen soft key.

Okay but how do you check what version of Grace Notes is in the radio and can I use a dvd made for a Harmon Becker radio to update the Grace Notes?
