Side Mirror question on Chrysler 300

Can anyone tell me what the little square below the blind spot triangle is on the side mirror of my 2016 Chrysler 300? The owner's guide doesn't seem to address it.

My guess would be it's the auto dimming sensor

Hi boballinan,

I believe it is a "courtesy lamp," which lights up in a dark area, like a garage.
