I have a 2002 399M special. The thermometer is consistently 4 degrees higher than the actual temp outside. This has been the case in winter and summer day or night. I have accurate thermometers I use at work and have verified that it is off. My question is can the thermometer be reset?

 

the temp sensor is not used until the car is riding over 30mph for a few min
air is like water it will have hot and cold spots and it is also just an avg of the temp.
