Default 07 Aspen keyless Entry issue

Our 07 Aspen keyless entry stopped working on any of the key fobs. Batteries were replaced several months ago, system was working well - the about a month ago system stopped working on one fob, the two days later stopped working on 2nd fob. Checked fuses 4, 7 and 14 - all good. Have read that it may be an ECM or SKREEM issue - that the system only allows 30 tries below total meltdown

any suggestions?

What are fuses 4, 7, 14 for? I am curious on your issue. My fobs both work, but the range is horrible, like 10ft. I replaced the batteries in both, so I am thinking it some sort of sensor for the fobs, but don't know where to start for that.
