Default 08 Aspen Quit on wife today

This morning (-3) wife was driving to town and after 5 miles of driving it just went dead. Nothing at all No flashers no lights no dash lights, nothing. After a few minutes it fired up,she drove another mile and it died again. Started up after a few minutes. drove about 70 miles the rest of day and ran fine. Has been sitting for a week. Have to put brakes on front tom. and will check all connections. not sure what could be going on.

If sounds ridiculous and simple but please check that your batt connections and especially the lug that feeds the PCM are tight...

Good luck and please let us know what the fix was.

I had same type of problem with our Aspen. I had it towed to dealership. They did diagnostic on it. It ended up just needed new battery. There was not enough cranking amps to set up the computer.

Wife went out running around in the Aspen Friday. No problems. Still have the original battery so might have been low cause of the sitting for a week and very cold weather.

I would say replace the battery for good measure. It is coming up anyway.

Get the battery load tested and go from there. You might be able to refill the cells but likely at that age it might not be the best option.
