Default 2009 engine swap

Will the 4.7 out of a 2005 Durango work in my 2009 Aspen?

If you're looking for plug and play, I'd have to say probably not. Back in the good old days before computer, no problem. Now, too many difference between the engines (year and size) to start with, then the wiring harnesses will be different, then the ECM. Transmission computer is probably programed different as well. You would have a better chance with a 5.7 and swap over everything from the 09, provided they are in the same place.
