Coworker has a 2009 Aspen Hybrid. His electric motor hasn't been working in a long time and his check engine light has been on. I used my code reader and we pulled a code for the aux transmission pump. (Don't remember the code off hand) but I'm assuming that it's a failsafe feature because the trans wouldn't have fluid pumping through it without the gas motor running. (Correct me if I'm wrong, I know nothing about hybrids)

We checked fuses and everything was fine, looks like a replacement aux pump is about $400 give or take.

Any advice on replacing it, would it be simple enough to do in the driveway or is it more involved than it looks?
