Default Location of amp

I have a loaded 08 Apsen with the MyGig, Alpine speakers, and the 368Watt amplifier and subwoofer according to my sticker. I have an analogous setup inmy 06 Grand Cherokee. The GC system sounds 100% better than the Aspen even after tweaking the Equalizer in the MyGig. I know the GC headunit is an Alpine and the MyGig is a Harmon Becker headunit.

Does anyone know where the amp (and subwoofer) are located? Just want to check the connections because to me very little sound comes out the front door speakers and a lot comes out the dash speakers near the windshield. Maybe connections are crossed?

The external amp is in the "kick" panel passenger side just forward of the pass door.
