Anyone here know if you can sucessfully put a my GIG touch screan system in an 07 Aspen that has the navigation system? I know the my GIG system has a different set of harnesses but theoretically could it be done if the harnesses were wired correctly? I don't know if the 07 has low speed bus or not. I know that the My GIG requires that. Any one have any ideas? I have an 07 but I really like the MY GIG system so much better, with the touch screan, hard drive, USB, ipod port. I can't stand the joystick system on mine. I have the VES as well so I wonder how that will work too. I also know that the MY GIG system will allow you to play DVD's while in park. Mine does not do that either. I need some help from some techno experts here!

Oh yeah, I am pretty electronically inclined so I could rig something up if needed.

 

I had heard that Mopar was going to release a MyGig System for the07' but it hasn't appeared yet and I don't think it will. If you add the 08' system, let us know how it goes.

 

Well, I have done enough research online and I think I am going to take the leap and take my REC unit out and put in the Mygig system. I have purchased a Mygig system and will be receiving it soon.There are many obsticlesto overcome but I am pretty surethat it can bedone. I will update here during the transition and let you all know how it goes.

 

I think the whole CAN-Bus is different. You may want to try this place http://www.coastaletech.com/mygig.htm, they may have the adapters, or willing to make it up for you.

 

Yes, the lockpick is one of the adapters you can use with the system that will unlock a lot of features for you.

 

How did you make out with this? Would like to upgrade the nav system in my '07 also.
