New Shocks, any advice?
 

I get that they're just shocks, but the stock ones are pretty scary now and I'll fork up the cash if anyone has any good suggestions for something aftermarket. The truck they're for is an 08' with the hemi and 60kish miles. Thanks in advance.

I'm about to put Bilsteins on all four corners of my '08 with 80k miles on the factory shocks. I've used Bilsteins on other vehicles, and they are about the only shock I will buy now.

i installed the bilstiens on my 08 aspen at 40000 miles best shock made in my opion,shop the inter net good prices along with no charge s/h. good luck

Worth the extra money, you get what you pay for.

Just installed Bilstein shocks all the way around and and put a set of 22's on my 07 Aspen. My wife loves the way it rides and handles now, much better all around. The shocks are easy to install. saved $194.00 by buying on line at shockwarehouse.com very nice people to work, will would use them again in the future.

Got my Bilsteins installed this weekend. Very easy. Drop the spare tire to get easy access to the driver side rear, and removing the front tires makes the front ones a breeze. Took about an hour or so.

The ride is greatly improved. No longer lobs up and down after hitting a bump. Much better control now.

There is no doubt that the Bilsteins would be a great addition, those are highly recommended in several forums, but dome do say there a bit stiff. In a pinch I put a set of reflex shocks on my 07 Aspen. The difference between those and factory, especially in the front end diving in the corners was night and day (i was pleasantly surprised) The wife liked them because they offered a good mix of stability yet not to stiff. Ended putting them on my 06 Durango as well.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I have a question for you guys. I purchased some monroe reflex shocks for the front and I got the monroe heavy duty coil over shocks for the rear. Any of you have experience with the coil overs? I got the heavy duty as I do a lot of pulling a decently heavy trailer in the summer months. I imagine there is only one way to install the coil overs?

I have an `09 Aspen and replaced all my shocks with Bilsteins. After less than a year, I switched them out for Reflex's. The ride with Bilsteins and my 22" wheels was just too rough. The Reflex's are much better than the stock, but a little bit softer than the Bilsteins. My wife and I enjoy the Aspen's handling and ride much better now.

Just ordered Bilsteins for the rear only, $60usd each. Bought the Aspen last year with only 18,000 miles. Travelled from Vancouver, BC Canada to San Diego towing a 23ft travel trailer and shocks were too bouncy for my liking. Hopefully, just replacing the rears will be Ok.
