oil light
Ok , so last night the wife and I were driving back from some fireworks and I decided to get on the gas pretty good, a nice hard acceleration, and the oil light flased at the high rpms before it shifted. All others times the oil light has never flashed on hard accelerations or just crushing. I recently did a complete tune up including spark plugs air filter oil change and oil filter, haven't done the pcv yet. I'm so dating if it good be the oil filter not having a good flow for the oil, I usually use the Mopar brand oil filer but went with a puralator one this time. Oil level is good too. Any ideas?

Did you replace the oil to spec (5w20)? Sorry for the stupid question -- it's best to start with the obvious stuff. I've heard of thin oil causing oil pressure sensors to act up, but not on the Aspen.
And speaking of oil pressure sensors, that would be the next logical item to check, unless it's something like a clogged oil pick-up screen. Is this the Hemi engine? How many miles?

Yes i run the spec5w-20 synthetic and yes it has the 5.7 hemi with I believe 97,000 on it or around there. Never noticed a problem until I started to use a different oil filter not sure if that would have something to do with it, I might have to wait till the next oil change and go back to the Mopar filter and test it. My wife hardly ever gets on it that hard and I had only noticed it when accelerating as hard as you can. But my guess is as good as yours with the slightly clogged screen or the sensor
