+1 On the Monroe's... Reflex Up Front and Load Adjusting on the rear and our Aspen rides better than the day I picked it up! (Since it had over 50k when we bought it I'm pretty sure the OEM's were toast at that point)

We are now looking at picking up a 7000 LB Camper, will post a second comment/review after I have spend a little time pulling that 32' Monster around...

My OEs were dangerous from 60k mm. When I did 4 corners with the Reflex Monroe It was absolutely night and day difference. I know this is an old post but just wanted to say how amazing the upgrade was. It took less than 45min to swap and I'm not a pro....

Something tells me that my truck rides fine on the OEM Mopar shocks...

Interesting to see the $$ different between OEM replacement shocks and the monroe Reflex.

I was extremely lucky as I walked into a sidewalk sale where they were running 2 for 1 on Monroe. Mine were cheaper than OE so I thought the upgrade was a no-brainer. I'm glad to hear that you're happy with the OE suspension on your truck - maybe there were bad runs or something on 07s? Mine were flat out dangerous...

I don't drive our Aspen very often but drove it the other night. I installed the Bilsteins 3+ years ago now and was very impressed with how well it rides. Bilstein's reliability record was enough to make it worth paying the extra money for them.

I just picked up an 08 Aspen as my daily driver and being a Durango owner up until now, I knew the shocks were needing to be replaced. At 120K, you could still see the M on the sticker on the shocks and every large bump was a 5-10 second adventure! I went with the Monroe Reflex this time around. I'm not planning on much off-roading, so these seemed to be a good choice. I have about 100 miles on them and so far they seem to do a great job for a decent price.

I wonder if spec'ing the same front suspension for the hemi v8 and the v6 might be the issue... perhaps the added weight up front is the issue. I really don't know but I did test drives in 2 07s and I found the suspension extremely unpredictable when loaded into a turn at speed or bottoming out on a small hill, etc. I put up with it for far too long as I just assumed that these were handling characteristics of a larger suv with a v8 up front... when I swapped them out it was like a different vehicle. Your mileage may vary. I put KYB gas shocks on my last truck which were excellent also but they were a little too spendy to rinse and repeat.

Bringing back this old thread rather than start a new one. I replaced my 2008 Limited's original shocks with Bilstein on the front and Monroe Sensa-Trac (with coil-overs) on the rear. The difference is amazing, especially when hauling my 5,800 lb trailer. Wheel hop is gone, and the handling now feels tight and secure. I bought my Aspen used to tow my classic car to shows, and thought I would only put 5k or so miles per year on it. I've found it so useful though that it's getting as many miles put on it as my daily driver.

Too bad they don't make them anymore or I'd buy another after this one is worn out.
