I recently purchased a 2008 Aspen with about 19,000 miles. I contacted Chrysler in an attempt to obtain the service history of the vehicle to identify any past issues, make sure it was serviced every 6k, etc. I was told that "we cannot provide that information because of privacy issues". What?? I didn't realize the vehicle's life before me was covered by the Patriot Act. I don't want to know who drove it or where they live, I just want actual service items performed and the mileage for each service!

Please let me know if anyone has additional ideas. The best part of this is that the vehicle was a Chrysler corporate car in Michigan - there shouldn't be an easier vehicle to pull service history on.

Unless that car was serviced at that dealer there would be no records for that info the only stuff that even I can provide if there is any warranty stuff that the truck has had done.

 

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll have to take it for granted that oil changes were done according to schedule, as it was a manufacturer's vehicle.

Do you know how I could get the warranty item history, etc?
