Whats up with my low idle?
Well I have been reading up on this and I have seen several posts about rough idle while stopped. People say its normal and if you turn ac on it brings the idle up enough to eliminate the rough idle. I don't buy that because why would they design a car that has a rough idle while stopped and "normal" with the ac on. My wife's truck idles at 500 when stopped and I want to know if there is a way to raise the idle enough to eliminate it. It seems to go away at about 6-700 rpm. Sorry if I'm rambling just trying to figure this out

If you have the Hemi engine you won't have one as it's throttle-by-wire. Not sure about the other engine. I just had this issue with another vehicle, which is why I brought it up.
It could be a number of items acting up -- throttle position sensor, O2 sensors, etc. If it's stumbling at all, you might have a small vacuum leak somewhere. Does the tach move at all, or is it rock steady at 500 rpm after warming up? Is it throwing any codes? Does it go up to 600 or so when you turn the a/c on?
It's not uncommon for the Hemi engine to idle pretty low. We need more details to really give you any input.
