I decided to replace the OEM Shift **** with an after market MOMO shift **** and can not remove the factory one. I have lifted the boot upward and unseated the black plastic fastner but from that point on I am lost. Can anyone help?

 

From Service Manual:

Lift the shift boot to expose the retainer nut.

Rotate the retainer nut clockwise and down to remove the shift handle (****).

Pull straight up on the handle (****).

I understand you have to pull your guts out to get it off. Reverse the procedure to install. Good luck.
