Post Manual gear change problem

new member. First of all hi to all fellow crossfire enthusiasts from here in the UK. Dont you just love these cars. I have a 2004 crossfire with manual gearbox and covered 21000 miles. The driving experience is amasing and faultless with one exception. Changing gears from first to second is hit and miss and can take several attempts to select second. I have owned the car for just over a year and have lived with this problem since i first got it. She looked so stunning in the showroom ( and still does ),that I didnt even test drive her, just paid for her there and then.

Just wondering if this is a common problem or I need to book her in for remedial action.
Having read the handbook it does specify that gearchanges may be difficult when cold. But when hot the gear selection does not improve.

It has been suggested that I trade in the car. hope you understand that this is not an option even worth considering. At 56 years old I have found my second love.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Regards Steve
