Default ; 2006 Pacifica 3.5 -Location of Radiator Fan Switch/Sensor + confirm Knock Sensor

Radiator Fan Switch/Sensor (I see both names used for it) is what is sold
here here
, and is not the
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor,
while the Knock Sensor is
this one this one
. I did search the forum and read many posts (as https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/99-t-c-radiator-fans-not-working-20208/page2/) but have yet to find the location of the Radiator Fan Switch/Sensor, and conflicting info on the Knock Sensor. On a 2004 Pacifica I https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-pacifica-15/2004-pacifica-knock-sensor-trans-question-18315/#post64898that "the knock sensor is located underneath the intake manifold (both the upper and the lower manifold parts need to be removed). It's attached to the block between the two cylinder heads, and has a long pigtail that comes out near the thermostat housing." Is this the same as a 2006 3.5L?

I am literally asking for a friend (not very Internet capable).

Thanks. Grace and peace thru Jesus the Lord.

no such thing as a radiator fan sensor or switch you have a radiator fan relay that controls the fan power and ground is that what your looking for ? its a porcupine looking item in front of the radiator and condenser mounted to the bumper metal part.

Radiator Coolant Fan Switch, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, 37760-P00-003 Radiator Coolant Fan Switch, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, 37760-P00-003

What are the issues you/your friend are trying to resolve? Any diagnostic trouble codes (dtc's)?

Note the 3.5l the temperature sensor is referring to is the honda 3.5l and not the chrysler 3.5l - 2 different manufacturers/engines.

Suggest visiting 'rockauto.com' for parts. Pricing is typically better than amazon and part selection is vehicle specific.

Thanks and sorrry for not seeking your reply. The Pacifica started overheating, neither fans run, AC does not result in them running, nor replacing the
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor,
and or the
902-310 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit 902-310 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit
, despite running way over temp in testing.
Next we will run a direct line to a fan and report back.

Fans will run if directly wired. Also, relay is getting current.

Codes are:

P0480, meaning that the cooling fan 1 control circuit has a malfunction. Possible causes (as listed) :
Faulty cooling fan 1
Poor electrical connection in the fan circuit
Failed fan control relay has failed
Failed coolant temperature sensor
Faulty AC pressure switch
VSS not operating properly

Second code; P0457: indicates that a leak in the evaporative (EVAP) emission system has been detected

Third code; P0325: occurs when your engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM) receives improper readings from the knock sensor circuit.

Yet Will send back, since the only
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
I find was that one. Will send back

Yes, Rock auto is more vehicle specific (as is even Ebay by part #) if not cheaper and returns have been easy with Amazon. Thank God for options!

first the link you sent for the cooling fan temp sensor is for

Honda Acura CL Integra RSX TL, Civic CR-V Odyssey

not a Chrysler Pacifica.
This is the relay i sent the information about for this part of the code Failed fan control relay has failed/
he cooling fan is controlled by the cooling fan relay aka a simple module bolted to the front bumper assembly will look like spikes on it.
Amazon Amazon

make sure the connector is not burnt up if it is the fan is likely drawing to many amps
and then burning up the relay and connector.

Yes, as affirmed in my prior post, that senor is not for the Pacifica, even though Amazon lists it as (see image) and this was not installed, while the other
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor,
, which Replaces OE#:5149077AB, has been installed, as has the
902-310 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit 902-310 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit
Dorman- Dorman-
902-310 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit 902-310 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit
, and 14V current does go into it, but the fans still will not turn on even in high temp testing and or via AC. But direct connection will power them on.

As stated in prior post, Possible causes listed for P0480 are:
Faulty cooling fan 1 [but both fans will run if directly connected)
Poor electrical connection in the fan circuit [but there is power going in, and 2V doing out]
Failed fan control relay has failed [but it is new]
Failed coolant temperature sensor [also replaced]
Faulty AC pressure switch [will replace]
VSS not operating properly [Speed Sensor. Will look into it]

Doing more research.

Thanks
