Default 04 Pacifica front heated windshield

I have an 04 Pacifica. The front heated windshield quit working. The window isn't broke has one small rock chip not on the black lacey pattern around the perimeter of the windshield. If I push the button on the dash for the front windshield defrost the red light comes on but it does not defrost. If I push the button for the rear defrost the red light comes on and the rear window defrost fine. I'm guessing the two are separate or they both wouldn't work. Do these switches have fused lines or resets and if so where is the one for the front defroster located? If there is no fuse where are the wires that connect the heating element to the windshield so I could check the power and ground for damage or bad connection? Do you have to remove the windshield to get access to these connections. Struggling with visibility any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

The 04 Pac had heated seats, heated mirrors and heated rear glass. There was no provision for a heated windshield.

have your heater controls checked out. The front windshield defogger may be the culprit

Thanks djetelina, You were right Both windshields have defrost buttons on the dash. But only the rear is an electric defrost. I just forgot how the front one works and how to use it I found the owners manual and read up on it in the climate control section and refreshed my memory. First select the windshield setting on the toggle switch to the left of the air conditioning button on the dash. then when you push the front windshield defrost button it kicks the heater blower motor into high gear and redirects all the air to the windshield vents. Which defrosts it like I remembered. Chalk this one up to operator error.

Default 04 pacifica heated seats

I am having a problem with the drivers side heated seat not working. All the other seats heat up and all the power seat functions work. Including the adjustable pedals and memory. I removed the seat and took the seat cover off and found a short in the seat cushion element It was easy to spot there was a small burn mark. I replaced it . The back element looked fine. Checked the fuses all good. Switch looks good high and low indicator lights light up when you press them and stay on no blinking. Inspected Drivers Door Module no loose corroded or burned wires and all the function buttons work fine. Checked for power on the element connection on the left side of the drivers seat The wiring diagram says it the light green/light blue wire with a test light. Made sure the car was running and switch turned on low. because its on a run relay. Meaning the heated seats only work when the car is running. No power to element at this connection. I now suspect the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module. (MHSAPM). Before I buy this expensive module. Is there anything I could try? Would it be ok to try running a new ground from the drivers seat heater ground wire pin on the C3 connection plug/pigtail. wiring diagram says it is the light green/tan wire that connects to pin 6?
